Patto Completes 5K Surrey Event

Walking Forward. For Neuroharmony and for Myself

I recently completed another 5km walk, this time in support of Neuroharmony, a wonderful charity doing vital work to support children with ADHD and Autism. It’s a cause that means a lot to me, and I was proud to raise awareness and funds for such an important organisation.

But if I’m honest, this walk wasn’t just for the charity, it was also a personal milestone.

Last summer, I completed the same distance in Victoria Park. It took me nine hours. Every step back then was a challenge. This time, with my trusty three-wheeled walker by my side again, I finished it faster. This progress, is proof that the hard work I’ve put into my rehab is making a difference. It’s a reminder that I’m moving forward, slowly but surely. And sometimes, that’s enough to fill you with hope.

So yes, I walked for Neuroharmony but I also walked for the version of me who once wondered if this would ever be possible again. And I’ll keep walking, for as long as I can, one step at a time.
