Talk to year 10, 11, 12 and 13 pupils at Colfe’s School

There are certain schools where the culture is immediately evident from the moment you arrive.

A genuine warmth. A clear sense of purpose. A quiet confidence in how pupils conduct themselves.

That kind of environment is never accidental: it is shaped by strong leadership. Credit to Dan Gabrielle for fostering a culture where students are engaged, respectful and open to learning.

I had the privilege of speaking at assembly at Colfe’s School on Monday 27th of April where the level of attention, curiosity and engagement from the pupils was exceptional.

What stood out most, however, was what followed. Conversations with students who had truly reflected on the message, asked thoughtful questions and shared their own perspectives. That is when you know a talk has had a lasting impact.

The feedback from both pupils and staff was incredibly meaningful.

Experiences like this reinforce exactly why I do what I do.
