I had the absolute privilege of speaking at Holmewood House Speech Day and I cherished every single moment of it.
From the very first handshake with Simon Jervis, the Deputy Head, who I’d been in touch with in the lead-up to the event, to the warm welcome from a heartwarming Irish Headteacher Ruth O’Sullivan, I felt instantly at home. Their kindness and genuine passion for the school set the tone for what turned out to be a truly special day.
The speeches from the Head Boy and Head Girl to me said it all about the pupils here, outstanding.
The pupils and parents were deeply engaged throughout and their thoughtful, insightful questions afterwards showed just how much they were truly listening and reflecting. That kind of connection is rare and something I’ll always remember.
The hospitality extended to me was exceptional and what made the experience even more meaningful was having my eldest daughter, Ella, by my side to share it all.
It was more than just a talk, it was a moment I’ll carry with me for a long time.
