Returning to KCS Wimbledon, where I first began my teaching career, was incredibly special. Walking back through those familiar gates brought back so many good memories and reminded me just what a truly outstanding school this is.
It was an absolute pleasure to speak to the Sixth Form students about resilience, not as something you’re born with, but as a skill that can be learned, strengthened, and carried for life. Their attentiveness, curiosity and willingness to engage in such an important conversation was deeply moving.
What stood out most was their genuine enthusiasm to grow, not just academically, but personally. It says so much about the culture of the school, the care of its staff, and the values being passed on in every classroom and corridor.
KCS Wimbledon will always hold a special place in my heart and days like this only deepen that feeling.
