This morning I had the privilege of speaking to clients of Wilson Nesbitt at The Grand Central Hotel in Belfast.
From the moment I stepped into the room, or more accurately rolled! I could feel the energy. The audience weren’t just listening, they were leaning in, engaging with the ideas I shared and asking thoughtful questions afterwards. Those kinds of conversations are what make these sessions so rewarding.
My talk focused on resilience, something I believe isn’t a fixed trait but a skill we can all learn, strengthen and carry into every part of our lives. Both in business and personally, resilience is the foundation that helps us adapt, lead and thrive through challenge and change.
If even one person left the room today inspired to foster a culture of resilience in their workplace, then I know the message is doing its job. That’s why I speak, to spark that shift in thinking.
A special thank you to Neil Cahill and especially Olivia Gillespie for organising such a fantastic event. Olivia’s support and attention to detail made everything run seamlessly, she truly is a legend.
Moments like this remind me why I love what I do: helping people and organisations see resilience not just as a word but as a practice they can build every day.
